Rather than relying on popular trends, our research synthesizes clinical trials and physiological mechanisms to understand how what we consume shapes our brains and bodies.

A primary focus of our research is the biology of metabolic regulation and weight management. We examine the physiological defense mechanisms that resist weight loss, including how adaptive thermogenesis lowers resting metabolic rate and how evolutionary survival mechanisms and dopamine pathways drive cravings for sugar and ultra-processed foods. Through clinical evaluations—including NIH metabolic ward studies using the NOVA classification system and trials comparing intermittent fasting to daily calorie restriction—we analyze how the body processes energy and why restrictive dietary models frequently fail.

Beyond energy balance, we investigate the pharmacokinetics of common stimulants and ergogenic aids. Our work dissects the molecular impact of caffeine, mapping its journey from adenosine receptor blockade to genetic variations in caffeine metabolism. We also evaluate the clinical utility of key supplements, comparing protein and creatine for physical and cognitive performance, and examining the therapeutic efficacy of omega-3 fatty acids, organic magnesium forms, ashwagandha, molecular hydrogen water, and vitamin D under the latest clinical guidelines.

Finally, this section explores chrononutrition—how meal timing, eating speed, and circadian rhythms affect metabolic health—as well as the systemic consequences of substance consumption, including evidence showing the neurological risks of moderate alcohol use. We also examine the growing field of nutritional psychiatry, reviewing clinical evidence for dietary interventions like the Mediterranean diet in managing mental illness.
